by Hold Me-Thrill Me innice try brother lett.
you moved the cups around the table and thought we would not see the slight of hand you were handing us.

by cappytan inhow long did the flood last?how long can land vegetation survive submerged in seawater?how long can freshwater fish survive in saltwater?how old is human civilization?

how did those people get there from the middle east after the flood wiped out everything on the earth?.

Walt Brown is not in a cult so to speak. He's a retired Phd and this is THEORY I think Floodguy even met with him last year. Anyhow it's a fun read and his book is packed with scientific knowledge other than just the flood. I'll buy the book for myself this summer for vacation reading material.
Wait a second.... How could you, having joined this board a mere 12 days ago, possibly know that floodguy who joined only 8 days ago, meet this walter brown a year ago??? Something smells fishy.
We have known each other for over 15 years. I mentioned this site to him. I credit Floodguy for daring me to research the WT more fully, what I came up with was Ruherford, cases of booze and his concubines
Does that snswer your question ?

Happened upon the story of an ex Gilead school graduate that had a Twilight Zone moment when they were told by their instructor that Elijah and Elisha were prophesied in scripture as Russell and Rutherford ( true story ) The poor guy got out not long after. It's a shame they pull this stuff but the other students ate it up like pudding as he put it. I've gotten to the point where I think much of the org is all about justifying their own job positions with redundant 'spiritual' make work. ( job security for themselves )

Paradise is going to suck!
by WasOnceBlind inonce you really start thinking about it, the whole paradise idea is kind of depressing.
i remember growing up as kids my sister was the first to tell my parents (admittedly very courageously) that she wasn't sure she wanted to live in paradise, it sounded boring living forever.
i thought she was dumb for thinking that, i mean playing with lions!!!!

Yes, a tiger is going to eat grass.
Hmm, let's think on this.....If a tiger no longer needed to hunt and chase prey, it would no longer need it's razor sharp claws, muscular and agile body, or amazing senses. Over the generations, such qualities would no longer be useful or necessary, and would therefore not be worth the energetic expenditure to grow and develop. Every physical attribute an animal posses costs the animal in energy to maintain.
Assuming that principle remains true in paradise, what qualities would be useful in that scenario? Well, the teeth would need to become flatter to adjust to the vegan diet. The body would no longer need the immense muscle and physical agility, but rather a good slow grazing body plan that maximizes the available digestive capabilities. All those honed senses? Too expensive. A much simpler set of basic senses (enough to see the grass in front of your face) would suffice.
Essentially, if the natural world still functioned in a somewhat similar manner, paradise would turn all majestic tigers into big stupid cow-like creatures in relatively few generations. Evolution's a bitch.
I also have an issue with this. These animals were designed specifically to hunt prey and keep the natural food chain going. I highly doubt meat eating creatures would become gazing animals. Whatever, we'll have to wait and see hopefully.

Why I remain one of Jehovah's Witnesses
by Brother Jeramy inallow me to begin with a clarification: when i say i am one of jehovah's witnesses, i don't mean that i am an advocate of the watchtower society or a devotee of some of its more controversial false teachings.
i mean that i am a christian, a disciple of jesus christ dedicated to jehovah god, and who remains in union with my brothers and sisters who make up the family of faith that globally refers to itself as jehovah's witnesses.
some totally understand the distinction between the family of brothers and sisters and the corporate organization known as the watchtower society (wts).
